The Wild Edge of Sorrow – Rituals of Renewal and the Sacred Work of Grief

Join us for a 12 week community exploration and practice working with our grief.

There is a sweetness and a power that gets robbed when we ignore our grief. To know loss is to be human. To try to avoid loss is also human. In this group we will read The Wild Edge of Sorrow by Francis Weller to expand our knowledge of the field of grief. But knowledge is not enough, so we will also engage in individual and community ritual and sharing to move, process, and heal grief. We all have grief. Not just those that have lost loved ones.

One of the core concepts in the book are the 5 Gates of Grief

The First Gate: Everything We Love, We Will Lose
The Second Gate: The Places That Have Not Known Love
The Third Gate: The Sorrows of the World
The Fourth Gate: What We Expected and Did Not Receive
The Fifth Gate: Ancestral Grief

Which gates would it serve you to pass through and explore?

We will create a physically and emotionally safe container, practicing outdoors weekly together to help support each other in moving through our grief. Group will be capped at 9 participants. Register now and place a non-refundable deposit of two weeks group to hold your spot.

A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because her trust is not on the branch but on its own wings. Always believe in yourself.
To be yourself requires extraordinary intelligence. You are blessed with that intelligence; nobody need give it to you; nobody can take it away from you. He who lets that express itself in its own way is a ‘Natural Man.
