What is Reconnected Wellness?
Reconnected Wellness is a unique approach to wellness for women that integrates cycle syncing, wise woman traditions, nutritional information, menstrual tracking and awareness along with movement practices aligned with each stage of a woman’s cycle of life.
Our approach to fitness and wellness is a bit different than you will find with most personal trainers and gyms. We work with a holistic “from the inside out” approach to wellness. While weight loss and aesthetics may be an outcome, it is not our primary goal. We are more concerned with overall wellness, body empowerment, and helping women find ease and joy in their lives. We are firm in our belief that all bodies are beautiful and there are no preferred body types or sizes.
We believe that wellness comes from tuning into the daily, monthly, and yearly cycles of nature. For those who identify as women that means tuning into the wisdom of our monthly cycles (or the moon cycle if you are not currently bleeding). As our hormones wax and wane with the moon so does our energy, nutritional needs and so much more. For so many women keeping up with the demands of daily life, work, motherhood, self care, etc. are overwhelming leaving us depleted and exhausted. We follow the workout plans and the nutritional advice and yet we feel stuck. Our stuckness might be the number of the scale, the oppressive exhaustion that sets in each afternoon, the unexplainable feeling of dissatisfaction with life, and on and on. There is a reason! Most of the traditional advice we hear and the “studies” that this advice is built upon is based on decades of research mostly on men and post-menopausal woman. There have been staggeringly few studies done on women of childbearing age that have to do with health and wellness. The bottom line is that women and men are not created the same and do not function on the same cycle. We have different needs to thrive in our lives. Simply put we’ve been following the wrong owner’s manual!
Understanding the mystical process at play each month and learning how to work WITH our bodies instead of exerting control and force over them is at the foundation of our work. We believe through this lifestyle and the alignment that comes from being in tune with nature in our modern world is a radical act and also our birthright.
Current Offerings:
- Foothills Fitness Group Class – Tuesdays @ 6pm. Women-only class in a safe, body positive environment. This class features mobility and strength with a focus on functional movement for all fitness levels. Class is approximately 45 minutes long followed by a 30 – 40 minute hike in Horsetooth Mtn. Open Space. Pre-registration (via DM, email, Venmo, or text required).
- Park Fitness Group Class (Summer 2021) – Lee Martinez Park @ 9am on Friday mornings. Come have fun and play! This hour long class focuses on full body functional movement in a circuit-style format in a lighthearted environment. All levels welcome. Pre-registration (via DM, email, Venmo, or text required).
- Three month movement program that includes workouts, nutritional suggestions, cycle syncing advice, a mindset and motivation tips, and menstrual cycle tracking and rituals. Several packages are available (online program coming soon)
- Body Positive Personal Fitness training for women in alignment with monthly menstrual cycle

- Mother Figure & Daughter Rites of Passage and Education
